The fortunate and unfortunate - Salvador Dali and Vincent Van Gogh

Let's see a quotation by Salvador Dali: "The only difference between myself and a madman, is that I am not mad!"
Referring a madman, which name comes to you first? To me it's Vincent Van Gogh, an artist who has the same passion as Salvador Dali, but differently suffers a lot in life and love.
Both them are talent and passionate masters: one is the representative of Impressionism, another Surrealism.
In understanding the above quotation, we can say, the only difference between Dali and Van Gogh, is that Dali is not mad.
Dali's biggest fortune is his wife Gala. He loves her so much that in his late years he even changes his signature to "Dali=Gala" from the earlier "Dali".
Similarly Van Gogh loves a woman so much that he cuts one of his ears just because of her mischievous words.
The difference, however, is that Gala loves Dali and brings order to his disorder, while unfortunately Van Gogh doesn't get the woman's love but only frightens her, which partly stimulates his disorder.
What I can't help thinking is that, what if Van Gogh finally meets his true love? What if the woman is moved by his sacred fire and falls in love with him? Will they be another fortunate couple just like Dali and Gala? If it comes true, would "that" Van Gogh create as much and passionate artworks as this one does? ...
