Framing an oil painting is not so difficult. The framing process includes: Canvas Stretching, Stretcher Mounting, Framing, and Wiring. The only step requires a little experience is Canvas Stretching. The link here provides you some instructions of how to stretch the canvas, it might be useful if you decide to buy "Canvas-Only" from us, and do the framing by yourselves.
For customers who buy "Paintings with Frame", the Framed Painting will arrive to you as complete set, beautifully framed, ready to hang.
Here are some highlights of our framing job:
First, we mount the canvas on the stretcher-bar before framing. Each canvas is stretched and mounted on stretcher-bars by 100 nails (60 on the sides, 40 on the back). We have professional guy to do this mounting job, the surface of our mounted canvas is wrinkle-free, very clean, and it will stay taut and smooth for many years to come. (the mounting job we do is so good, when you receive the painting, you can even bounce a ping-pong ball on the surface of the canvas!)
Then, we mate the stretched canvas with the nice quality frame. We select very fine quality wooden frame as our "official frame". The frames we use are imported from Italy or Canada, and the surface of our frame is rich and smooth. We even wax each frame before ship our framed painting to you.
In the back of our framed painting, we attach a 50lb wire-cable. This wire-cable is for you to hang the painting on the wall. To prevent the mounting screw scratching your wall, we put 2 rubber pads at the lower corners of the frame. These 2 rubber pads will also help to stabilize the framed painting on your wall.
